WEST DES MOINES, IOWA (April 21, 2025) — Des Moines University Medicine and Health Sciences will honor 47 individuals, including twelve honored veterans, at this year's Body Donation Remembrance Ceremony. The annual service will take place at 10:30AM, Saturday, May 3, at the Olsen Center at 3200 Grand Ave, invites faculty, staff, students, and body-donor families to remember these individuals who have generously given their bodies to further medical education.

WEST DES MOINES, IOWA (April 17, 2025) — Alumni, faculty, staff and friends showed up for the seventh annual One Day for DMU campaign and raised an astounding $272,524.86 from 342 individual donors. The 24-hour giving campaign for Des Moines University Medicine and Health Sciences took place from noon-to-noon April 16-17, and the campus was buzzing with excitement.

WEST DES MOINES, IOWA (April 7, 2025) — Two classes from Des Moines University College of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery have exceeded national averages on the American Podiatric Medical Licensing Examination. Compared to the national passing average of 83%, 95% of DMU's CPMS students pass the exam.

WEST DES MOINES, IOWA (March 31, 2025) — Des Moines University Medicine and Health Sciences anatomy professor, Heather Garvin PhD, along with postdoctoral researcher Stephanie Cole PhD and DMU students Meghan Gast MSA ('28) and Gloria Eddy MSA ('29), attended the American Academy of Forensic Sciences conference in Baltimore in February 2025.

WEST DES MOINES, IOWA (March 26, 2025) — The National Academy of Osteopathic Medical Educators (NAOME), part of the American Association of Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine (AACOM), recently welcomed a new group of fellows in the Teaching and Evaluation category. Maria Barnes PhD, Associate Professor of Biochemistry and Nutrition at Des Moines University (DMU) Medicine and Health Sciences, has been named part of this cohort.
