WAVERLY, IOWA (April 20, 2023) — Roberto Munoz, of East Moline, was one of nine Wartburg College students to present at the National Conference for Undergraduate Research (NCUR) April 13-15 at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.

Munoz presented "Vidutolimod uptake by leukocytes: elucidating the role of granulocytes & the impact on their activation."

WAVERLY, IOWA (March 21, 2023) — Elyse Juarez of Davenport, Iowa, has been accepted into the Wartburg College Teacher Education Program.

Juarez had to demonstrate effective reflective components in teaching and complete several other requirements to be considered for the program.

Admission to the Teacher Education Program allows students to begin professional education courses in their field.

WAVERLY, IOWA (February 16, 2023) — Wartburg College's Castle Singers and Kammerstreicher will perform Saturday, February 25, at St Paul Lutheran Church, 2136 Brady St. The concert is part of the ensembles' domestic tour that will go through Indiana, Tennessee, Alabama, and Florida.

WAVERLY, IOWA (October 6, 2022) — The Wartburg College chapter of the Phi Eta Sigma first-year honor society recently inducted 31 new members.

Phi Eta Sigma is the oldest and largest freshman honor society. A student must achieve a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.5 and be in the top twenty percent of their class by the end of the first year.

WAVERLY, IOWA (July 11, 2022) — Samuel Reyes of Davenport, Iowa, was one of four Wartburg College students to present his ovarian cancer research at the 2022 annual meeting of the American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology.

The 2022 biochemistry graduates presented "Matrix Metalloproteinase-9 Promotes Membrane Protrusive Activity in Ovarian Cancer Cells."

WAVERLY, IOWA (July 7, 2022) — Wartburg College awarded dipolomas to 253 students during Spring Commencement on Sunday, May 29.

AVERLY, IOWA (July 6, 2022) — Roberto Munoz, who is conducting research as part of the 2022 University of Iowa Summer Research Opportunity Program, will present his research findings on Wednesday, July 27.

Munoz, a junior in biochemistry from East Moline, will share his work at the UI Summer Undergraduate Research Conference, 1-5PM, in the Iowa Memorial Union Main Lounge.
