WAVERLY, IOWA (March 11, 2024) — Mia Lopez presented her summer research, "Polymer-based Gene/Drug Delivery Nanoplatforms for Pancreatic Cancer," at the annual Iowa Illinois Nebraska STEM Partnership for Innovation in Research and Education (IINspire) conference at Iowa State University in Ames.

WAVERLY, IOWA (February 28, 2024) — Rachel Green was one of 29 Wartburg College students to be recognized for their work with student media at the annual Iowa College Media Association Awards.

Green, of DeWitt, Iowa, received first place in Best Short Video Documentary.

KWAR, the student-run radio station, received the Audio Excellence of the Year Award.

WAVERLY, IOWA (February 26, 2024) — Brody Condon has been accepted into the Wartburg College Teacher Education Program.

Condon, of De Witt, Iowa, had to demonstrate effective reflective components in teaching and complete several other requirements to be considered for the program.

Admission to the Teacher Education Program allows students to begin professional education courses in their field.

WAVERLY, IOWA (October 26, 2023) — Mya Jansen of Muscatine is one of 22 Wartburg College students recently inducted into the Phi Eta Sigma honor society.

Phi Eta Sigma is the oldest and largest freshman honor society. A student must achieve a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.5 and be in the top twenty percent of their class by the end of the first year.

WAVERLY, IOWA (September 12, 2023) — Wartburg College today announced the Wartburg Commitment, a comprehensive program that includes a new competitive price, reduced financial barriers for lower- and middle-income families, and funding for all students to increase access to immersive experiences.

Here are the highlights of the Wartburg Commitment, which begin in the 2024-25 academic year:

WAVERLY, IOWA (August 31, 2023) — Drawn by the college's rigorous academics, nationally-competitive athletics and world-renowned music programs, a growing number of students will call Wartburg College home beginning this fall.

At least 470 new students are expected to begin classes at Wartburg on September 6. This is the largest year-to-year percent increase in students since 2016.

WAVERLY, IOWA (July 7, 2023) — Wartburg College awarded dipolomas to 267 students during Spring Commencement on Sunday, May 28.

Kyle Oberbroeckling, of Davenport, graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in health and fitness studies.

Easton Necker, of Bettendorf, graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in biochemistry and biology.
