Delta Dental of Iowa Foundation made that healthy habit easier for 421,000 Iowans in 2019 by providing a free toothbrush. February is National Children's Dental Health Month, so it's the perfect time to remind Iowans about the importance of educating kids about good dental hygiene habits.

JOHNSTON, IOWA (December 10, 2019) — Students and staff in 143 additional schools across Iowa have a healthy new feature in their school buildings this fall. Delta Dental of Iowa Foundation, along with several public/private partners, donated more than $685,000 in Elkay water-bottle filling-stations, toothbrushes, water-bottles, and Rethink Your Drink educational kits, which will impact 77,100 students and staff members.

DES MOINES, IOWA (December 3, 2019) — Delta Dental of Iowa has announced individuals and families can now purchase DeltaVision, a comprehensive vision-care insurance plan. Since 2010, DeltaVision has provided vision plans for small and large businesses in Iowa. Beginning January 1, 2020, Delta Dental individual and family plan members can bundle plans to take advantage of DeltaVision's broad eye care coverage.

DES MOINES, IOWA (November 12, 2019) — The University of Iowa College of Dentistry and Dental Clinics has been awarded a $750,000 grant from the Delta Dental of Iowa Foundation to establish a professorship in Geriatric and Special Needs Dentistry. Dr Howard Cowen, a dentist and instructor at the university, was recognized as the professorship's first awardee.

Funding provided supports dental and vision health-programs focused on prevention, education, and improving access to health-care such as Iowa Mission of Mercy, Vision to Learn, KidsEyesight, and Prevent Blindness.

JOHNSTON, IOWA (February 22, 2019) — Schools across Iowa have the opportunity to receive a new water-bottle filling-station through the Rethink Your Drink program, funded by the Delta Dental of Iowa Foundation. Selected schools will have an old drinking fountain replaced with a new Elkay water-fountain/bottle-filling station and also receive water-bottles and toothbrushes for all students and staff.
