DAVENPORT, IOWA (September 4, 2023) — On June 3, 2021, Bobby Fitzgerald Hunt Jr drove over seventy miles per hour through red lights and on the gravel shoulder of East Kimberly Road at three in the afternoon. He was drunk. By bad coincidence Alex Marietta left work on his bicycle and crossed East Kimberly Road with the traffic light in his favor at the same time. Fitzgerald struck and killed Alex and fled the scene.

DAVENPORT, IOWA (May 19, 2023) — New this year is the Running Wild Mile.

The Running Wild Mile will be held at 4PM on Memorial Day in the Village of East Davenport. Runners will compete for $600 in cash prizes. There will be Men’s and Women’s divisions with first ($150), second ($100), and third ($50) in both divisions. We have some extra time in the schedule and thought the area’s well known and very talented running community should be given a shot on the course.

VILLAGE OF EAST DAVENPORT, Iowa, February 26, 2017 – The Quad Cities Criterium, an annual Memorial Day weekend tradition run by the Quad Cities Bicycle Club, will be known as the Kwik Star Criterium this year and 2019 as Kwik Trip, Inc. has re-signed as title sponsor.
