DAVENPORT, IOWA (August 31, 2026) — River Bend Food Bank is joining food banks nationwide in observing Hunger Action Month in September. This annual awareness campaign, led by Feeding America and its network of food banks, takes place every September to raise awareness of food insecurity and inspire action to help end hunger in communities across the United States.

DAVENPORT, IOWA (August 25, 2026) — Effective August 31, 2026, River Bend Food Bank’s NorthPark and SouthPark pantries will have new hours. This adjustment will improve the service guests receive, as well as help the River Bend team accommodate the increased need. The new hours, starting on August 31, 2026, will be:

NorthPark (320 West Kimberly Road, Davenport, Iowa): Mondays: 2–6PM and Wednesdays: 9AM-1PM

DAVENPORT, IOWA (July 29, 2026) — Feeding America’s latest Map the Meal Gap study estimates that 139,800 people — including 43,150 children — experienced food insecurity in River Bend Food Bank’s 23-county service area in 2024, representing a food insecurity rate of 13.6%.

DAVENPORT, IOWA (May 27, 2026) — As the United States approaches the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, River Bend Food Bank will welcome a fully-loaded semi-truck carrying up to 40,000 pounds of donated food and cleaning supplies on June 3. The donation is part of a collaboration between america250.org and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to support families facing food insecurity.
