The Alliance is open to the public and is a forum for timely and educational information on flood prevention, mitigation, flood insurance, and floodplain management. Floatzilla, the ultimate celebration of community, outdoor adventure, and river conservation, returns stronger than ever this year, promising an unforgettable experience for all attendees.

ROCK ISLAND, ILLINOIS (May 6, 2024) — River Action will turn out the Centennial Bridge lights at 11PM, on the nights of May 6, 7, and 8 in order to protect birds migrating nocturnally as they pass through the Quad City region. This operation will be conducted by Art-o-Lite/Crawford Company.

DAVENPORT, IOWA (April 11, 2024) — River Action’s Eddy Awards are presented in six categories who have done extraordinary work in the Mississippi River and its riverfront, including its tributaries: Education (innovations, program, curriculum), River Activity (recreation, relaxation), Arts (performance, written word, fine arts), Stewardship (environmental enhancement of the river), Revitalization (commerce, business, industry), and Special Recognition.
