2024 QC Environmental Film Series Announced

DAVENPORT, IOWA (December 29, 2023) — River Action has partnered for its fifth year with the Eagle View Group of the Sierra Club, Nahant Marsh Education Center, the Jewish Federation of the Quad Cities, and the Truth First Film Alliance to host six films in 2024.These films will be held at the Figge Museum on Sundays at 3PM. The Nominations, Please: The 25th Annual Eddy Awards

DAVENPORT, IOWA (December 14, 2023) — River Action is seeking, until January 21, 2024, nominations for the 25th Annual Eddy Awards. Each year, River Action honors the best work on the Mississippi River and, in 2024, it will be during Fish and Fire, River Action’s 40th Anniversary Celebration.

Quad City Flood Resiliency Alliance (QCFRA) to Meet November 16, 2023

RIVERDALE, IOWA (November 14, 2023) — River Action will present the final quarterly Quad City Flood Resiliency Alliance Meeting of 2023 on November 16, 3-4:30PM. We urge the community to attend this meeting being held in the Community Room of Riverdale City Hall, 100 Manor Drive, Riverdale, Iowa. Flooding from local waterways affects the entire region, and we strive to include everyone in planning future flood mitigation for the Quad Cities. The event will be open to the public.

Rain Barrel Special at River Action, Just in Time for Christmas Giving

DAVENPORT, IOWA (December 8, 2022) Green, with red bow attached, sixty-gallon rain barrels are available at River Action. Diverters for the downspout come with each. Depending on the size of the downspout needed, barrels are $90 or $95 and come with a spigot to fit a garden hose. Every tenth person to buy will receive a barrel at ½ price.
