ROCK ISLAND, ILLINOIS (September 28, 2023) — River Action is especially pleased to be gathering the river stakeholders in 2023. We are working in collaboration with experts and policymakers, non-profits, cities, educators, students, media, and scientists.

DAVENPORT, IOWA (July 24, 2023) — Whether paddlers are novices or pros, instruction and tips from trained Coast Guard Auxiliary members is needed and always welcomed. Learn about the Mississippi, locking through Lock 15, and skills needed whether paddling solo or with others.

ROCK ISLAND, ILLINOIS (April 24, 2023) — On April 28, Rock Action will host its yearly friend-raiser and fundraiser, Fish and Fire, at the Rock Island Holiday Inn, 5:30-8:30PM. The event includes the 24th Annual Eddy Awards and the 2023 Eddy Scholarship Winners.

DAVENPORT, IOWA (December 8, 2022) Green, with red bow attached, sixty-gallon rain barrels are available at River Action. Diverters for the downspout come with each. Depending on the size of the downspout needed, barrels are $90 or $95 and come with a spigot to fit a garden hose. Every tenth person to buy will receive a barrel at ½ price.
