DES MOINES, IOWA (October 4, 2023) — Governor Kim Reynolds has announced a third round of funding for the Child Care Business Incentive Grant Program to encourage employers to offer child-care as a benefit to their employees.

DES MOINES, IOWA (September 29, 2023) — Governor Kim Reynolds announced the appointment of Renee Schulte of Urbandale to serve as Chair of the Iowa Board of Parole. Schulte begins her new role today.

“Renee’s extensive background in mental and behavioral health will help protect our communities while advancing our goals of supporting the successful re-entry of parolees and reducing recidivism,” said Gov Reynolds. “I look forward to working alongside Renee in this new role.”

DES MOINES, IOWA (September 27, 2023) — Governor Kim Reynolds announced the State of Iowa will end Fiscal Year 2023 with a balance of $1.83 billion in the General Fund, $902 million in reserve funds and $2.74 billion in the Taxpayer Relief Fund.

DES MOINES, IOWA (September 14, 2023) — Governor Kim Reynolds ordered all flags in Iowa to be lowered to half-staff from sunrise to sunset on Friday, September 15, 2023, in honor and remembrance of Kevin Cram of the Algona Police Department who was shot and killed in the line of duty on September 13, 2023. Cram was attempting to arrest a suspect when he was killed. Cram was a ten-year veteran of Iowa law enforcement, a husband, and a father. He was 33 years old.
