DES MOINES, IOWA (August 30, 2023) — Together with the Boards and Commissions Review Committee, Governor Kim Reynolds is calling for public input on proposed recommendations to reform Iowa’s board and commissions.

DES MOINES, IOWA (August 25, 2023) — Governor Kim Reynolds has received notification that President Biden has granted her request for a Presidential Disaster Declaration for seven counties that were severely impacted by spring flooding. Counties included in the declaration are Allamakee, Clayton, Des Moines, Dubuque, Jackson, Lee, and Scott.

DES MOINES, IOWA (August 22, 2023) — Governor Greg Abbott held a press conference Monday, August 21, in Eagle Pass with Iowa Gov Kim Reynolds, Nebraska Gov Jim Pillen, Oklahoma Gov Kevin Stitt, and South Dakota Gov Kristi Noem to provide an update on their joint efforts under Texas' Operation Lone Star to respond to President Joe Biden's reckless open border policies.

DES MOINES, IOWA (August 21, 2023) Governor Kim Reynolds announced on Friday, August 18, that Dax Oberreuter will join her administration as policy advisor for health-care and veteran’s affairs. Oberreuter most recently served as legislative liaison at the Iowa Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). He previously held the same position for the Iowa Department on Aging and served as the agency's public information officer and planning and innovation administrator.

DES MOINES, IOWA (August 18, 2023) — Iowa’s Lieutenant Governor Adam Gregg has been elected Chair of the National Lieutenant Governors Association (NLGA). NLGA is the professional association supporting lieutenant governors in all fifty states and the US territories. The mission of NLGA is to assist these leaders, and the states and territories themselves, to be as effective and as efficient as possible for constituents.

DES MOINES, IOWA (August 11, 2023) — Governor Kim Reynolds and the Iowa Economic Development Authority (IEDA) announced $38 million in workforce housing tax credits to develop new housing opportunities in communities across the state.

DES MOINES, IOWA (August 10, 2023) — Governor Kim Reynolds has announced her appointment of Samuel Langholz as a judge on the Iowa Court of Appeals.  Langholz, of Ankeny, Iowa, serves in the Attorney General’s Office, where he is currently the Chief Deputy Attorney General under Attorney General Brenna Bird and was previously the Assistant Solicitor General under Attorney General Tom Miller.

DES MOINES, IOWA (August 8, 2023) — Governor Kim Reynolds has released the following statement in response to Iowa and Nebraska bringing a lawsuit against the US Environmental Protection Agency for its failure to issue final rules on E15, which would pave the way for year-round E15 access. Final rules were required to have been issued by July 2022.
