STATEMENT FROM ICGA CHAIRMAN BOB HEMESATH On behalf of Iowa's corn farmers, I would like to congratulate Adam Gregg on his appointment to Lieutenant Governor by newly installed Governor Kim Reynolds. Adam was part of the Iowa Corn Leadership Enhancement and Development (ILEAD) Class 6 in 2014 when I served as mentor. 
On behalf of Iowa's corn farmers, we would like to congratulate Iowa Governor Terry Branstad on his confirmation by the U.S. Senate to ambassador of China. President Donald Trump nominated Branstad in December and last night he completed the final step in the vetting process. Throughout his distinguished tenure as Iowa Governor he has been a tireless advocate for Iowa's corn farmers, and we are thankful to have such as steadfast supporter of agriculture in this vital position.
Iowa corn farmers have been dodging April showers this month to get a start on corn planting.
JOHNSTON, Iowa  (April 24, 2017)  - The Iowa Corn Growers Association (ICGA), Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship (IDALS) and the Iowa Land Improvement Contractors Association (LICA) hosted the fifth annual water quality and agriculture field day for legislators on Friday at the LICA farm located northeast of Des Moines near Melbourne.
JOHNSTON, Iowa- April 14, 2017 - Since 1978, Iowa corn growers have elected their peers to serve on the Iowa Corn Promotion Board (ICPB) to oversee the investment of funds generated by the Iowa corn checkoff program. 

JOHNSTON, IA - March 29, 2017 - More than 75 Iowa Corn Growers Association (ICGA) members filled the State Capitol rotunda for "Iowa Corn Day on the Hill" lobbying event. This delegation included ICGA Board of Directors, county leaders and student FFA members from across the state.

JOHNSTON, Iowa (March 24, 2017) - Iowa Corn announced today the sixteen students who will be the recipients of the Iowa Corn Future of Agriculture Scholarship program for the 2017-2018 school year. This program awards eight $500 first-year scholarships and eight $500 upperclassman scholarships to individuals who are pursuing degrees that will equip them to contribute to the agriculture industry in Iowa.

Iowa's world-class corn production system didn't occur overnight. It happened because of our rich natural resource base and several determined corn farmer-visionaries who put Iowa on the map.
