NAMIWalks is the Quad Cities’ largest mental-health advocacy and awareness event, and it’s also NAMI Greater Mississippi Valley’s biggest source of funds for its free, nationally-developed education and support groups for those living with mental health conditions, and their families and friends.

DAVENPORT, IOWA (October 14, 2022) — Organizers of this year’s “Life is Beautiful” concert and silent art auction are hosting the event on Saturday, November 19, 2-11PM, at the Raccoon Motel, 315 E 2nd St, Davenport.

The live silent art auction is 2-9PM, with music 3:30-11PM. There will be a free-will offering for concert admission. The art auction is organized by local artist Carolyn Krueger and features artwork from area artists.

DAVENPORT, IOWA (September 28, 2022) — Local Modern Woodmen of America members are taking action to keep brain-health top of mind for the Quad Cities community. The group is coming together to honor NAMI Greater Mississippi Valley and its more than sixty dedicated volunteers for making a positive impact and spreading awareness of brain and mental health.

DAVENPORT, IOWA (September 15, 2022) — Before the pandemic, in any given year, one in five people in the United States reported having a mental-health condition. Mental-health experts suggest the figure is now two in five, or even higher. Every year, NAMI Greater Mississippi Valley, the local affiliate of the National Alliance on Mental Illness, brings together hundreds of people to raise mental health awareness and funds through NAMIWalks. This year’s walk is Saturday, September 17.
