FAYETTE, IOWA (July 30, 2025) — Upper Iowa University announced that it has earned the 2025-2026 Military Friendly School designation.

Institutions earning the Military Friendly School designation were evaluated using both public data sources and responses from a proprietary survey. More than 1,800 schools participated in the 2025-2025 survey, with 830 earning special awards for going above the standard.

FAYETTE, IOWA (April 21, 2025) — Upper Iowa University (UIU) is proud to announce that Tony DiCecco will deliver the keynote address during the University's 2025 commencement ceremonies on Saturday, May 3. A native of Niagara Falls, New York, DiCecco moved to Iowa to pursue an education at Upper Iowa University. After graduating from Upper Iowa University in 1971, he embarked on a teaching and coaching career that lasted over 35 years.
