DAVENPORT, IA (July 16, 2014) - Senior Star at Elmore Place is hosting an important presentation on identification theft at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 22 at 4500 Elmore Avenue in Davenport.  Led by Corporal Hank Jacobsen from the Davenport Police Department, discussions will focus on current information regarding typical scams and tactics often used by identification thieves and ways to avoid being an identity theft victim.

Screenings provide a variety of tests for adults 50-plus

 

DAVENPORT, IA (July 17, 2004) - Senior Star at Elmore Place is teaming up with several Quad City wellness partners to provide free health screenings for residents age 50-plus from 1 to 4 p.m., Thursday, July 24 at 4500 Elmore Avenue, Davenport.

Tests and information booths include :

Ø  Blood glucose, body composition and blood pressure tests by Walgreens

Ø  Hearing aid checks and hearing screenings by Parker Audiology

Ø  Fall prevention; low vision check; keeping the aging brain in shape; blood pressure checks;  balance and fall risk assessment by Genesis Visiting Nurse Association and Genesis Hospice

Ø  Grip testing by Manor Care

Ø  Spinal screening by Nelson Chiropractic

Ø  Fall prevention screening by Gentiva

Ø  Nutrition information and samples by Hy-Vee

Ø  Dementia information provided by the Alzheimer's Association

Ø  Information and testers provided by Doterra Essential Oils

Ø  Massage information provided by 2 Rivers Massages

Ø  Information provided by Meridian including Medicare Advantage Plans
