Mercado on Fifth Announces New Director

MOLINE, ILLINOIS (October 21, 2019) — After an exciting fourth season of Mercado on Fifth with over 20,000 attendees, the nonprofit organization has hired a new director: Quad Cities local, Melissa Freidhof-Rodgers. The recent growth of the weekly outdoor event on 5th Ave in Moline has prompted the group to search for a full-time organizer.

Mercado on Fifth Moves Biggest Show of the Season to TaxSlayer Center

MOLINE, ILLINOIS (August 14, 2019) — Mercado on Fifth will host its biggest concert and dance party of the season Friday, August 16, at the neighboring TaxSlayer Center in Moline. Doors will open at 8PM for the third annual fundraising event and will feature performances by DJ Guerrero followed by headliner Grupo Montez de Durango at 9:30PM. 

Montez de Durango will be the first Latin band to headline at the Quad Cities' largest arena in 17 years other than Julio Iglesias in 1994.

Mercado on Fifth’s Inaugural Season wraps up with Noche de los Muertos (Night of the Dead) Celebration

MOLINE, IL - Formed to develop Moline's western downtown gateway, West Gateway Partners L.L.C. with support from Group O, Inc. opened Mercado on Fifth, an open-air night market in the Floreciente neighborhood in downtown Moline, IL.
