DAVENPORT, IOWA (February 16, 2021) — Rechargeable batteries have created fires at the Waste Commission of Scott County facilities. Keep rechargeable batteries out of your garbage and recycling carts, and drop them off for proper disposal, instead.

 

QUAD-CITIES (June 29, 2019) — Xstream Cleanup, in response to record flooding, held a one-day, region-wide flood cleanup on Saturday, June 29. This day of action removed 216 bags of debris left from high waters during flooding. Cleanups were held at six locations including areas in Buffalo and Davenport, Iowa; and in Hampton and Moline, Illinois.

DAVENPORT, IOWA (April 17, 2019) — Waste Commission of Scott County facilities will be open regular hours on Good Friday, April 19, and closed on Saturday, April 20, for the Easter holiday. Normal hours of operation will resume on Monday, April 22. Waste Commission of Scott County’s facilities include the following:

The Waste Commission of Scott County and Personal Marketing Research will conduct a follow up survey on recycling in the coming weeks.  400 Residents of Scott County will be contacted by phone to participate in a brief recycling survey. This is a follow up to a recycling survey that was completed in May 2013.
