Build My Future: Hands-On Event Promoting Skilled Trades to High-School Students across Iowa

DES MOINES, IOWA (April 26, 2019) — An ongoing message we are starting to hear is the need for more people to follow the path of a skilled trade for their future. There is an increasing demand for workforce in the skilled trades with little or no education occurring to promote what the industry has to offer. Build My Future was brought to Central Iowa by the Iowa Skilled Trades and their partners to help in the education of young people, educators, and the community on what this industry has

Home Builders Association to Promote Skilled Trades with Mike Rowe from Dirty Jobs; Governor Kim Reynolds

SEPTEMBER 28TH 2017, DES MOINES - A familiar face and voice will return to Iowa in late September to advocate for a greater focus and awareness for skilled trades and laborers. Executive Producer and Host of the hit TV series Dirty Jobs, Mike Rowe has long been an advocate for skilled trades jobs, even appearing in front of the United States Congress on multiple occasions to offer testimony. It's a mission that the Homebuilders Association of Iowa wants to shed more light on, in Iowa.
