COAL VALLEY, ILLINOIS (August 31, 2023) — Shout out for volunteers! On Friday, September 22, Niabi Zoo (13010 Niabi Zoo Rd, Coal Valley) will host its biggest fundraiser of the year, Pints for Preservation! This event kicks off the campaign to bring Bears to the Zoo! In order to transform the Zoo into the social venue of the season for adults, we will need many volunteers to help set up and operate drink stations throughout the night.

However, we would like to let you know that due to the extreme weather forecast for Thursday, we have decided to cancel our Members Only Night event scheduled for that day.

COAL VALLEY, ILLINOIS (July 17, 2023) — The Niabi Zoo is excited to welcome its newest inhabitants to the Quad Cities: Three African Painted Dogs Lycaon pictus. This incredible species is a native of the grasslands of East Africa, and has never been housed at the Niabi Zoo before. African Painted Dogs are highly intelligent and social keystone species in Africa. Like North American Wolves, play a critical role in the health of their ecosystem.

COAL VALLEY, ILLINOIS (April 17, 2023) — This event will feature entertainment by renowned show band Maggie Speaks.

Guests will enjoy an unforgettable evening of music, while also contributing to the vital work of the zoo. The concert will feature special appearances by Niabi Zoo staff and the Foundation Board, to provide an up-close look at the organization's new master plan.

COAL VALLEY, ILLLINOIS (March 7, 2023) — A group of Niabi Zoo animals, ranging from Amur Leopards to Fennec foxes, have received the first and second rounds of the Veterinary COVID Vaccine, produced and donated by the pharmaceutical company Zoetis.
