In the heat of the summer, survival can be challenging for many animals as they deal with increased temperatures and protected resources such as water and territory. Find out how animals stay cool and see if they have what it takes to be a survivor.
Each month, the Niabi Zoo hosts scientists discussing real issues in zoology, conservation, veterinary medicine, ecology, animal behavior, horticulture and more. These are presentations by people with specialized and deep knowledge of species and issues that are related to the natural world.

On Saturday, March 17, wear green (even if you're not Irish) to be like our green tree frogs. You can meet a couple of our frogs up close and personal after the breakfast which starts at 8:30am. Learn why frogs are so important to many ecosystems and why many of their species are at the greatest risk today. Then, go see our colorful frogs (blue, yellow, and more) in their Zoo habitats at our Reptile Building.
