ROCK ISLAND, ILLINOIS (October 2, 2023) — A $50,000 grant awarded by the National Endowment for the Humanities will study how the records of the Swenson Swedish Immigration Research Center at Augustana College can be better preserved.
ROCK ISLAND, ILLINOIS (September 22, 2023) — Augustana College will host Phi Beta Kappa Visiting Scholar Dr Corey DB Walker on Monday, October 2. His presentation will begin at 7PM in Wallenberg Hall, located inside Denkmann Memorial Building, 3520 7th Ave, Rock Island.

ROCK ISLAND, ILLINOIS (September 18, 2023) —Augustana College’s John Deere Planetarium and Fryxell Geology Museum invite the public to view the partial eclipse of the sun 11AM-1PM, Saturday, October 14.
The planetarium, located at 820 38th St, Rock Island, will offer indoor and outdoor programs in the planetarium, observatory and geology museum. Admission is free.

The Class of 2027 is among the largest and most diverse in the college’s 163-year history, with 800 first-year, transfer and exchange students from thirty states and 35 countries.

ROCK ISLAND, ILLINOIS (July 12, 2023) — Augustana College announced more than 1,000 students were named to the Dean's List for the 2022-23 spring semester. Students who have earned this academic honor have maintained a grade point average of 3.5 or higher on a four-point scale for courses taken during the term.
