ROCK ISLAND, ILLINOIS (October 2, 2024) — A $105,000 “Vocation Across the Academy” grant from the Network for Vocation in Undergraduate Education (NetVUE) will help Augustana College launch an enrichment and mentorship program for business administration students.

The program enables Augustana to meet 100% of students’ demonstrated financial need. ROCK ISLAND, ILLINOIS (August 30, 2024) — Augustana College emerges from a very rocky federal financial aid season to welcome a robust and diverse Class of 2028. The school will welcome new and transfer students from 26 states and 33 countries when it starts its 164th year on September 3.

ROCK ISLAND, ILLINOIS (August 20, 2024) — Augustana College announces the selection of Irene Karedis Borys to serve as the assistant vice president of marketing and brand communication. Borys, who most recently served as vice president of client experience and integrator for The Childress Agency, started at the college August 19. 

Augustana College Provost Dr Dianna Shandy announces the college has been awarded a $25,000 Cornerstone: Learning for Living planning grant from the Teagle Foundation. The competitive grant funds will be used for faculty professional development and to revise the college’s first-year general education curriculum.

ROCK ISLAND, ILLINOIS (July 31, 2024) — Seventeen Augustana College student research assistants are assisting with the inventory of water service lines in the village of Port Byron, Illinois.

ROCK ISLAND, ILLINOIS (July 19, 2024) — Augustana College announces the selection of Reynard Benschop to serve as director of Student Activities, Leadership, and Engagement. Benschop, who previously served as associate director of student activities at Hamilton College, Clinton, New York, started at the college July 15.
