MOLINE, ILLINOIS (May 12, 2023) — In an effort to make the world a more accepting place for individuals of all abilities, on June 3, 2023, GiGi’s Playhouse Quad Cities, the local Down syndrome achievement center, is working alongside our network of more than sixty playhouses, throughout the United States and Mexico, to host a GiGiFIT Acceptance Challenge event. They will hold their annual SUPERHERO 5K run, 1 Mile walk, and Kids Dash for Down syndrome.

MOLINE, ILLINOIS (May 29, 2020) — On Saturday, June 6, teams from 60 GiGi's Playhouse locations and startups nationwide will take to the streets, parks, bike trails, and basement treadmills, set on amassing 7 million "steps to accept," enough steps to span the entire United States. The challenge invites supporters of acceptance, in all its forms, to join the effort by signing up online to begin logging their steps.

September 5, 2017 – GiGi’s Playhouse Quad Cities, the local Down Syndrome Achievement Center, will host their annual 5K Run, 1-mile Walk and Dash for Down syndrome at Veterans Memorial Park in Bettendorf, IA on Saturday October 7, 2017. Participants will enjoy entertainment, ice cream, inflatables, raffles and prizes. The 5K is a timed event with chipped bibs for competitive runners.

Child Care Resource and Referral (CCR&R) provides resources, education, and advocacy about quality child care to Parents, Child Care Programs, Employers, and Community Members.

CCR&R is holding a Choosing Child Care class for anyone wanting information about child care. These short one hour sessions are being held at the local Iowa Hospitals. Want to know more about Quality Child Care?
