The Quad City Symphony Orchestra (QCSO) Board of Trustees  is pleased to announce the selection of Brian Baxter as the new Executive Director of the QCSO.  Mr. Baxter is currently the Chief Operating Officer for the Chicago Youth Symphony Orchestras (CYSO). A search committee of individuals from the QCSO Board, assisted by Margaret Genovese of Genovese Vanderhoof & Associates of Toronto, conducted an extensive national search of industry professionals.

Masterworks VI: St. Matthew Passion April 8 & 9, 2017

Reflect on Lent and Palm Sunday weekend with two performances of Johann Sebastian Bach’s masterpiece St. Matthew Passion.  This emotionally charged work presents the interactions of Jesus and the Evangelist, and features two orchestras, two choirs, two organs, and six vocal soloists to enhance the enjoyment and inspiration of all, this work will be performed in English.

After three years of service, Benjamin Klemme will step down as the Quad City Symphony Orchestra’s (QCSO) Associate Conductor and Quad City Symphony Youth Ensembles (QCSYEs) Music Director at the end of May, to serve as the Vermont Youth Orchestra Association’s (VYOA) Music Director in Clochester, VT.
