GALESBURG, ILLINOIS (March 30, 2026) — Knox College is set to upgrade the T Fleming Fieldhouse by renewing its indoor surface, ensuring the facility meets the needs of today's students and campus community. Originally installed in 1991 as the first of its kind in the area, the surface's renewal reflects long-term stewardship of one of Knox's most heavily used spaces and prepares it for the next generation of Prairie Fire athletes.

West is a progressive philosopher, social activist, and public intellectual, and the Dietrich Bonhoeffer Chair of Philosophy and Christian Practice at Union Theological Seminary in New York City.

GALESBURG, ILLINOIS (January 14, 2026) — Knox College will host the 13th annual Jerome Mirza Jazz Residency from January 19 to 23.

The residency connects Knox students and the Galesburg community with world-class jazz artists for a week of workshops and collaborative activities, culminating in a free concert at the historic Orpheum Theatre.

GALESBURG, ILLINOIS (January 12, 2026) Knox College will host its annual Martin Luther King Jr Convocation — an event honoring the life and legacy of Dr. King — at 11AM, January 19, at Knox College's Harbach Theatre in the Ford Center for the Fine Arts.

This year's Convocation speaker is Melvin L Rogers, the Edna and Richard Salomon Distinguished Professor of Political Science at Brown University.

GALESBURG, ILLINOIS (January 9, 2026) — Adam Gonzaga has been named the new head coach of the Prairie Fire Football program, Knox College Athletics announced today. Gonzaga is the 32nd head coach in program history, bringing a vision focused on relationships, long-term development, and sustained program building. He officially starts on January 12.
