Johnston, Iowa - Special guests, new programs and viewer favorites will take center stage during Festival 2018, February 24-25, March 3-11 and 17-18 on statewide Iowa Public Television. This programming celebration-the network's only extended pledge drive of the year-allows viewers to support the programming they enjoy. Festival programming will air on IPTV (.1), IPTV WORLD (.3) and IPTV Create (.4). All of this year's new specials airing on IPTV (.1) are listed below.

Johnston, IA – The National Educational Telecommunications Association (NETA) honored Iowa Public Television with the 2017 NETA Award for Production - Short Form for “Greetings From Iowa.” Created by IPTV Producer/Director Tyler Brinegar, the digital first series launched in March of 2017. IPTV’s award also recognizes contributions to the program’s success by Andrea Coyle, Producer/Director; Taylor Shore, Digital Content Manager; and Tonya Weber, Communications Manager.

Johnston, Iowa - Governor Kim Reynolds' Condition of the State Address will be presented to the Iowa Legislature on Tuesday, January 9 at 10 a.m. and Iowa Public Television will provide LIVE coverage of the speech on statewide IPTV.

Johnston, Iowa - Season 3 of IPTV's Iowa Entrepreneur premieres Friday, December 1 at 6:30 p.m. The 10 new episodes each feature two local Iowa businesses and the stories of how their owners overcame personal and professional struggles to find success. New episodes premiere Fridays at 6:30 p.m. and repeat Sundays at 10:30 a.m. on statewide Iowa Public Television. 

Education specialists work to strengthen math and literacy skills of young Iowa children Johnston, IA (November 2, 2017) - Iowa Public Television's (IPTV) commitment to early childhood education continues with the expansion of its "Ready for School" initiative. Educational specialists will work with educators, parents, child care providers and community partners in several Iowa school communities to implement math and literacy-based activities for children ages two through eight years old.

Johnston, Iowa (October 31, 2017) - Iowa Public Television announced today the premiere of "Stealing Your Life with Frank Abagnale" Monday, November 13 at 8 p.m. Frank Abagnale, whose years as a con man were depicted in the 2002 film "Catch Me If You Can", tells his incredible life story and shares simple but effective tips on how to avoid becoming a victim of identity theft.

Families may join the fun at four Iowa locations or by hosting their own pajama party.  Johnston, Iowa -  Iowa Public Television will host family pajama parties across Iowa on Friday, December 1, 2017 to coincide with the launch of IPTV KIDS .2, a new channel devoted entirely to children's programming.
