MOLINE, ILLINOIS (January 29, 2024) — The downtown Moline theatre, The Black Box, begin their eighth season with the chamber musical Thrill Me: The Leopold and Loeb Story with a book, music, and lyrics by Stephen Dolginoff. New for the theatre this year is a three-week run of each production.

MOLINE, ILLINOIS (November 24, 2023) — The Black Box Theatre enters their eighth season with two musicals. Auditions will be held on December 10, 1-2:30PM, for Thrill Me: The Leopold and Loeb Story, and 3-5PM for Jane Eyre: The Musical. Those auditioning should bring music in your key, photo, résumé, and rehearsal and production conflicts.

MOLINE, ILLINOIS (July 13, 2023) — They say the show must go on and due to a health crisis and the tragic demolition of a building housing another theatre (Mockingbird on Main), The Black Box Theatre will not be presenting “Rock of Ages” this August, but will provide new offerings during the month as well as providing a home for two shows that had been scheduled for Mockingbird.

MOLINE, ILLINOIS (June 8, 2023) — Haus of Rackus had been in rehearsals for their newest show at The Mockingbird on Main. Then the building collapsed, causing three deaths and numerous injuries and the closure of the theatre that had been housed in the building.
