MOLINE, ILLINOIS (February 18, 2026) — The Black Box Theatre located in downtown Moline will be holding auditions for their 2026 season on March 14 and 15. Added to the previously announced season will be Come from Away to be performed in late August through September 12 in honor of the 25th anniversary of 9/11. MOLINE, ILL INOIS (January 5, 2026) — The Black Box Theatre located in downtown Moline will celebrate its tenth season with a series of area premieres. Co-founder and artistic director Lora Adams said, “It’s hard to believe it has been ten years since David Miller and I opened the doors to The Black Box Theatre, but here we are.”

MOLINE, ILLINOIS (December 30, 2025) — Join Dorothy and her companions on an adventure-filled journey to Oz! With a little help from Glinda, the Good Witch, they’ll dance down the yellow-brick road and uncover the smarts, heart, and courage they need to defeat the Wicked Witch of the West. These four unlikely friends embrace their differences and use their personal strengths to support one another and work toward a common goal — to get to Oz!

MOLINE, ILLINOIS (November 12, 2025) —The Black Box Theatre in downtown Moline presents the classic play The Lion in Winter opening November 21 to December 6.

MOLINE, ILLINOIS (October 9, 2025) — The Black Box Theatre located in downtown Moline present another premiere — The Thanksgiving Play by Larissa Fasthorse.

MOLINE, ILLINOIS (July 30, 2025) — The Black Box Theatre located in downtown Moline opens Ordinary Days August 8.

MOLINE, ILLINOIS (June 30, 2025) — The Black Box Theatre located in downtown Moline is holding a three-day Solo Fringe Festival featuring solo artists.

MOLINE, ILLINOIS (March 5, 2025) — The intimate Black Box Theatre in Downtown Moline presentsAgatha Christie’s The Stranger opening on March 14.

The show features Jane Simonsen, James Driscoll, Cole McFarren, Avalon Willowbloom, Storm Marie Baca and Dee Canfield. Directed and designed by The Black Box Artistic Director, Lora Adams. “I am thrilled to have so many new faces in this show,” said Adams.

Ken Ludwigs' Dear Jack, Dear Louise is a Valentine to his parents. It tells their love story through their correspondence during World War II.
