Taking place at the Quad-Cities Waterfront Convention Center on March 29, the 2018 Quad Cities Women's Leadership Conference will find nationally recognized speakers – among them headliners Tamron Hall and Jeanette Walls – sharing wisdom and expertise on a wide range of personal and professional development topics, with the event held to inspire and help develop the next generation of female leaders crucial to the future of area businesses and industries.

Scheduled to deliver the keynote address, Hall is an award-winning journalist who has been the host of Deadline: Crime with Tamron Hall on Investigation Discovery and was nominated for a 2011 Emmy Award for her work on NBC News’ Education Nation: Teacher Town Hall. Hall also served as a correspondent on the Emmy-winning NBC News special The Inauguration of Barack Obama and has been involved with several charitable organizations, most recently launching the Tamron Renate Fund with Safe Horizon, created in honor of her sister and designed to help victims and families affected by domestic violence.

In addition to Hall's address, this year's Quad Cities Women's Leadership Conference will feature a presentation by Walls, the celebrated author best known for her memoir The Glass Castle. A work depicting Walls’ life growing up in extreme poverty her complicated relationship with her parents, The Glass Castle – adapted last summer into a film hit starring Woody Harrelson, Naomi Watts, and Oscar winner Brie Larson – spent 261 weeks on the New York Times Best Seller list, has been translated into 22 languages, and has sold over 2.7 million copies to date.

The conference will also feature a presentation by Jeffrey Tobias Halter, the country’s leading male expert on advancing women and engaging men and the current president of Ywomen, a strategic consulting company focused on engaging men in women's leadership advancement. As IWLC Quad Cities Regional Manager Deanna Woodall stated, “We are excited to expand our presence in the region and offer a dynamic conference as a source of professional development for those dedicated to the advancement of women.”

The March 29 Quad Cities Women's Leadership Conference takes place from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with the annual Athena + Male Champion of Change Awards – designed to elevate and honor women and men setting the standards in business and community leadership – presented during a 5:30 p.m. dinner program.
