More than a dozel local, regional, and national speakers will deliver live and video presentations in the March 7 TEDxDavenport Conference at the Figge Art Museum, a networking event themed “Limitless” that will join open-minded idea-seekers in a half-day exploration of unique experiences designed to inspire, inform, and challenge.

Scheduled participants include: business strategist Anna Dolce with her presentation “Good Service Is Killing Your Business”; entrepreneur Dustin James with the personal-growth talk “Sharpen the Axe”; author and self-described “relationship expert” Folashade Butler with “We All Have an F-ing Problem”; industry analyst Jaimy Szymanski explaining “What Happens When We Trade Data for Super Powers?”; Jake Klipsch, an advocate for at-risk students, on “The Reality We Create: Expectations and Education”; disability advocate Jeff Hobbs presenting “Winning from Last Place”; and engineering professor Jodi Prosise speaking on “Empowerment through Technology.”

Also featured in the March 7 conference: Job Honor Awards founder Kyle Horn on “A New Kind of Hero: America's Great Untapped Workforce”; bio-chemist and STEM proponent Linda Baxley presenting “How I Came to Love Math and How You Can, Too”; architect Michael Johnson with “The Best Kept Secret in Construction”; public speaker and author Natalie Torres-Haddad explaining “The Foreign Language of Financial Literacy”; philanthropist Oscar Bravo advocating “Clean Drinking Water for All”; medical practitioner Dr. Sayed Shah's presentation “Go with Your Gut and Say No to Addiction”; and therapist Michelle Joyce revealing why “Grandma Was Right – Posture Matters!”

Launched in 2009, TEDx is program of locally organized events that bring the community together to share a TED-like experience. Some of the best talks from TEDx events have gone on to be featured on TED.com and garnered millions of views from audiences across the globe. “The Quad Cities is an amazing community with innovative ideas worth speading,” said TEDxDavenport Director Andrea Olson. “TEDxDavenport is designed around the concept that we are ‘Limitless’ – a theme that focuses on the forward-thinking culture and endless potential we have for pushing boundaries and transforming our region.”
