Newsboys in Big Church Night Out at the TaxSlayer Center -- December 10.

Sunday, December 10, 6 p.m.

TaxSlayer Center, 1201 River Drive, Moline IL

Headlined by the Christian rockers of Newsboys, the nationally touring Big Church Night Out makes a stop at Moline's TaxSlayer Center on December 10, featuring performances by the Grammy-nominated, chart-topping quartet plus more than a half-dozen additional contemporary-Christian entertainers.

Currently composed of Jody Davis, Jeff Frankenstein, Duncan Phillips, and Michael Tait, Newsboys originated in Queensland, Australia, in 1985, and has subsequently become one of the most iconic acts in modern Christian music. Having released 17 studio albums to date, Newsboys boasts 31 number-one singles on the Billboard charts, plus three chart-topping albums – including 2011's film inspiration God's Not Dead – this decade alone. The group has also earned four Grammy nominations and 27 nominations for Dove Awards, the latter resulting in four wins including “Rock Album of the Year” for Going Public.

Five supporting acts will join Newsboys on the Big Church Night Out tour: the Nashville-based Sidewalk Prophets, who won the 2010 Dove Award for “New Artist of the Year” and had a chart-topping hit with “You Love Me Anyway”; 7eventh Time Down, hard rockers from Kentucky whose 2016 “God Is on the Move” was a number-one hit; Peurto Rico native Blanca (Blanca Callahan), a former member of Group I Crew now performing as a solo artist; Christian hip-hop artist and Grammy and Dove Award winner Derek Minor; and Adam Agee, a fellow Grammy/Dove recipient for his tenure with Christian rockers Audio Adrenaline.

In addition to its musical acts, the Big Church Night Out tour will feature inspirational presentations by national worship leaders and contemporary-Christian artists Jamison Strain and Jeremy Willet, plus entertainment by illusionist Brock Gill, whose performances have aired on the BBC and the Discovery Channel. Tickets to the event are $28-103, and can be reserved by calling (800)745-3000 or visiting TaxSlayerCenter.com.
