The Blooze Brothers at the Timber Lake Playhouse -- October 18.
Saturday, October 18, 7:30 p.m.
Timber Lake Playhouse, 8215 Black Oak Road, Mt. Carroll IL
Performing such beloved classics as "Sweet Home Chicago," "Gimme Some Lovin'," "Everybody Needs Somebody," and Aretha Franklin's "Respect," the Chicago-based tribute artists of The Blooze Brothers bring their high-energy act to Mt. Carroll's Timber Lake Playhouse on October 18, delivering an explosive mix of Motown, classic rock, soul, and, of course, blues alongside Windy City great Kimberly "Hot Sauce" Johnson.
For more than three decades, the Blooze Brothers Band has been one of Chicagoland’s most in-demand show bands. They not only honor the music made by the original Blues Brothers in movies, TV, and recordings, but the spirit in which they played – from Dan Aykroyd’s love of traditional blues, Motown, soul, and R&B to John Belushi’s love of classic rock. Like Aykroyd and Belushi, they fuse those great musical traditions into a stage show that energizes and delights hundreds of thousands of music fans across the greater Chicago area and beyond every year.
The Blooze Brothers band has played for major corporations like Microsoft and Kraft, major venues like the United Center and the House of Blues, plus hundreds of festivals, theaters, weddings, backyard barbecues, and everything in between. They've played for over 70,000 screaming NHL fans at Soldier Field and over 45,000 racing fans at NASCAR's Camping World 400. The band was also honored to represent the State of Illinois and perform at a Presidential Inauguration in Washington, DC.
With a combination of two high-energy frontmen, a dynamic female lead singer in Kimberly "Hot Sauce" Johnson, some of Chicago's top musicians, and a briefcase full of your favorite rhythm & blues, blues, and soul classics, the 11-piece Blooze Brothers Band provides a musical experience that can't be beat.
The Blooze Brothers perform at the Mt. Carroll theatre on October 18, admission to the 7:30 p.m. concert is $35-40, and more information and tickets are available by calling (815)244-2035 and visiting TimberLakePlayhouse.org.
