Elizabeth Moen at the Triple Crown Whiskey Bar & Raccoon Motel -- October 7.

Saturday, October 7, 8 p.m.

Triple Crown Whiskey Bar & Raccoon Motel, 304 East Third Street, Davenport IA

Appearing as the headliner in her first Moeller Nights concert, singer/songwriter/guitarist Moen performs in support of her LP debut That's All I Wanted, released this past May.

Raised in Vinton, Iowa, and a recent graduate of the University of Iowa, Moen began playing guitar as a teenager, and was inspired to write her own songs in the style of musical heroes including EmmyLou Harris, Johnny Cash, Van Morrison, and Angel Olsen. After releasing eight songs on her first, self-titled EP in January of 2016, Moen built a repertoire of more than 40 additional ones, sampling genres ranging from classic jazz to modern folk to indie rock.

With Moen's 2017 touring schedule bringing her to the region's Mission Creek, 80/35, and Camp Euforia festivals, the Midwestern artist has shared stages with the likes of Houndmouth, Lake Street Dive, William Elliott Whitmore, and Margaret Glaspy, picking up numerous rave reviews in the process. After a recent, sold-out concert at Iowa City venue The Miss, KRUI.fm declared of the 23-year-old, “The raw yet pure quality of her bluesy, soulful voice is something you do not hear at a local bar. … A stellar performance.”

Elizabeth Moen's Triple Crown Whiskey Bar & Raccoon Motel set starts at 8 p.m., tickets are $8, and more information on the night is available by visiting MoellerNights.com.
