A Billboard-charting performer who was the recipient of New Artist of the Year honors at the 2014 Latin Billboard Music Awards, the 26-year-old singing sensation Luis Coronel headlines an October 22 concert at Moline's Vibrant Arena at the MARK, his appearance treating fans of regional Mexican music to hits such as "Mi niña traviesa," "Será más fácil," and "Escápate."

Initially signed by Del Records at age 16, Coronel has been described by the Huffington Post as "a phenomenon as organic as the Beatles…”, and the artist has become a household name for young bilingual Latinos. Having released the albums Ahora soy yo, Con la frente en alto, and Quiero ser tu dueño, he became the youngest solo artist to hit number one on Billboard's Top Latin Albums chart in 13 years, with the latter two recordings gold-certified by the RIAAfor shipping more than 30,000 copies. His sound rooted in regional Mexican music and his fashion style reminiscent of the classic Rat Pack days of the 1960s, Coronel has landed on the Billboard charts for "Mi niña traviesa," "Será más fácil," and "Escápate," and garnered a nomination for Male Artist of the Year in the Regional Mexican category at the 27th Lo Nuestro Awards.

With Coronel's most recent album Ahora soy yo having debuted at number one on Billboard's Latin Albums Sales and Regional Mexican Albums charts and at number two on the Top Latin Albums chart, the vocalist's additional career accolades include a Latin American Music Award for Favorite Regional Mexican Male Artist, a Premios de la Radio citation in the Premio Orgullo Latino category, and a Premios Lo Nuestro award in the Regional Mexican Albums of the Year – solo division. Coronel also scored a trio of trophies at the 12th Annual Premios Juventud, which was broadcast on Univision,
