“Luminare Christmas" at the Rhythm City Casino Resort Event Center -- December 10.

Sunday, December 10, 8 p.m.

Rhythm City Casino Resort Event Center, 7077 Elmore Avenue, Davenport IA

An unforgettable holiday experience led by former Mannheim Steamroller keyboardist John Blasucci, the immersive touring event Luminare Christmas lands at Davenport's Rhythm City Casino Resort Event Center on December 10, bringing to audiences a singular fusion of reimagined holiday classics, high-energy symphonic rock, and cinematic magic.

With Blasucci also the longtime musical director for Dennis DeYoung of Styx, the artist has recently turned his focus to his new seasonal concert/theatrical production that combines live music and special effects to create a magical holiday event for audiences of all ages. Blasucci wrote and produced the music for the show, which includes both original pieces and classic holiday favorites, and has been described as a blend of Mannheim Steamroller’s holiday-classic vibes, the exhilarating rock of Trans-Siberian Orchestra, and the cinematic atmosphere of Hans Zimmer. Given the phenomenal lighting show and heartwarming story woven throughout the performance, Luminare Christmas creates a magical atmosphere of holiday spirit that enables audiences to be swept away by passionate, sonically lush vocal and instrumental musical performances.

Luminare's ensemble consists of members with musical pedigrees that include their involvement with Blue Man Group, American Idol, and The Voice, with global credits including Orchestra Sinfonica del Conservatorio "Guiseppe Tartini" de Trieste, and Camerata Strumetale Italiana. Among the featured performers are violinist Erica Carpenedo, who has played such international venues the Auditorium Parco della Musica in Rome, Orchestra Hall of the Chicago Symphony Center, and Singapore’s Esplanade Concert Hall; guitarist Dan Peters, whose credits range from jamming opposite Twisted Sister's Dee Snider to playing for stage productions of Rock of Ages, Mamma Mia!, and Grease; and bass player Brad Lang, whose talents have been heard on such recordings as Roger Hodgson’s “Hai Hai" and Tommy Tutone’s “Rich Text Files,” and whose extensive professional experience includes his performing in the iconic rock band Foreigner.

The touring event Luminare Christmas comes to Davenport's Event Center on December 10, admission to the 8 p.m. show is $20-40, and more information and tickets are available by calling (563)328-8000 and visiting RhythmCityCasino.com.
