Nathan Carter at the Adler Theatre - September 17.

Sunday, September 17, 3 p.m.

Adler Theatre, 136 East Third Street, Davenport IA

Credited for reviving the European genre of “Country and Irish” – an Irish musical form that blends North American country stylings with Celtic influences – Carter, at age 27, has released nine studio albums and three live albums to date, five of which reached number-one on the Irish Albums Chart.

Born in Liverpool, Carter unofficially began his musical career at age four when he played the accordion in a school concert, and at 10, he received the All Ireland Title for Traditional Singing. When Carter was 18, he moved from Liverpool to live in Ireland, and subsequently released his debut album Starting Out in 2007. With his musical gifts suggesting the talents of superstars Daniel O’Donnell, Michael Bublé, and Tony Bennett, Carter's Adler concert will find him performing old-time county favorites, Irish folk songs, and adult-contemporary classics ranging from “Bridge Over Troubled Water” to “Home to Donegal,” plus new hits from the artist's most recent album, the chart-topping June release Livin' the Dream.

Carter performs locally alongside Irish singer/songwriter and special guest Chloë Agnew, and tickets to the 3 p.m. concert are available by calling (800)745-3000 or visiting AdlerTheatre.com.
