Raynes at Rascals Live -- October 4.

Saturday, October 4, 7:30 p.m.

Rascals Live, 1418 15th Street, Moline IL

Delivering a signature blend of folk, Americana, and baroque pop combined with elements of Celtic and world music, the acclaimed British/American trio Raynes brings their tour to Moline venue Rascals Live on October 4, the group's 2025 debut Bloom hailed by B-Side Guys as a work that "masterfully fuses chamber pop and folk, showcasing emotional depth and sophisticated arrangements that evolve from simplicity to intricate orchestration, portraying growth through music."

Mat Charley, a native of Minot, North Dakota, met Mandan native Joe Berger as students at the University of Mary in 2015. Together, they moved to Los Angeles to pursue music full-time. Looking for a strong vocalist to round out their songs, they found Race, a singer-songwriter from Durham, on Instagram and asked if he would consider joining their group; he traveled to America 10 days later to meet the duo, and they found common musical ground.

Since then, Raynes has signed with Sony Music Publishing and released six singles and four EPs, drawing hundreds of thousands of monthly listeners and tens of millions of streams and earning press in Billboard and People. They’ve performed at BottleRock Festival 2025 and in clubs, concert halls, and amphitheatres across the U.S. and the UK, developing a reputation as a high-energy live act. Currently, the band boasts: 18.8K followers and 35 million streams on Spotify; 22.7K Shazams on Apple Music; 2.3 million views on YouTube; 24,3000 Instagram followers, and 20,600 TikTok followers.

Known for their intricate vocal harmonies and unique instrumentation as well as their poetic lyrics, Raynes has yet to come up with a good answer as to what genre their music falls under. With all three members coming from different musical backgrounds, the boys combine their diverse influences to form a group that draws inspiration from around the globe, incorporating elements of folk, rock, and chamber pop with Celtic and world music to create a wholly original – and difficult to categorize – sound. As the group has stated, "“We’re musical omnivores. There are so many instruments and sounds and traditions in the world, and we just want to explore as much as we can.”

Raynes brings their tour to Moline on October 4, admission to the 7:30 p.m. all-ages concert starts at $20, and more information and tickets are available by visiting Facebook.com/rascalslive.
