The Redstone Room, 129 Main Street, Davenport IA

Performing in support of her fourth album Chills & Fever, released this past spring, blues singer/songwriter/guitarist Samantha Fish returns to Davenport's Redstone Room in a stop on her nationwide September tour that takes the artist from Owensboro, Kentucky, to San Diego California.

A native of Kansas City, Missouri, the 28-year-old Fish recorded and produced her album debut Live Bait in 2009, and within three years, was the winner of the “Best New Artist” citation at the Blues Music Awards. She has been described as “an impressive blues guitarist who sings with sweet power” and “one of the genre's most promising young talents” by the New York Times, and according to the Kansas City Star, “Samantha Fish has kicked down the door of the patriarchal blues club,” displaying “more imagination and creativity than some blues veterans exhibit over the course of their careers.” Fish's Davenport set will find the musician performing not only only from her four-album repertoire, but songs from her impending album Belle of the West, scheduled for release in November.

Samantha Fish performs locally with an opening set by Wooden Nickel Lottery, tickets are $15, and more information on the evening is available by calling (563)326-1333 or visiting RiverMusicExperience.org.
