Sins N' Roses at the Timber Lake Playhouse -- September 6.

Saturday, September 6, 7:30 p.m.

Timber Lake Playhouse, 8215 Black Oak Road, Mt. Carroll IL

One of the nation’s most authentic and electrifying Guns N’ Roses tribute bands, the touring rockers of Sins N' Roses take the stage a Mt. Carroll's Timber Lake Playhouse on September 6, performing both classic hits and deep cuts that hardcore fans know and love.

Over the past two years, Sins N’ Roses has played across the MiwWest to tens of thousands of passionate GnR fans of all ages. They perform more than 40 GnR classics including such mega-hits as "Sweet Child of Mine," "Welcome to the Jungle," "November Rain," and "Paradise City," plus MTV favorites from the '80s and '90s. Sins N' Roses is the brainchild of Slash guitarist Matt Berger, and the incredible vocals of Christian Trujillo echo the five-octave range of Axl Rose in his heyday. Ace of bass Mick Lucid is Duff, Dr Hector Salcedo plays Izzy, English drummer Mr G is Popcorn Adler, and multi-instrumentalist Erika Miner is keyboards maestro Dizzy.

Guns N' Roses itself was formed in Los Angeles, California with an original recording lineup of lead vocalist Axl Rose, lead guitarist Slash, rhythm guitarist Izzy Stradlin, bassist Duff McKagan and drummer Steven Adler. After self-releasing the EP Live ?!*@ Like a Suicide in December of 1986, the band signed with Geffen Records and released its debut studio album Appetite for Destruction the following July. It topped the U.S. Billboard 200 and went on to become one of the best-selling albums of all time, with reported sales over 30 million units worldwide, 18 million of which are in the US. Three singles – "Welcome to the Jungle," "Sweet Child o' Mine," and "Paradise City" – reached the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 top 10, with "Sweet Child o' Mine" topping the chart.

The discography of Guns N' Roses consists of six studio albums, one live album, two compilation albums, five EPs, 24 singles, 10 video albums, and 27 music videos. In their early years, the band's hedonism and rebelliousness drew comparisons to the early Rolling Stones and earned them the nickname "the most dangerous band in the world." Significant controversy followed the band due to late show starts and riots (notably the 1991 Riverport riot), lyrics perceived as problematic, Rose's outspoken persona, several other members' drug and alcohol abuse issues, lawsuits, and public feuds with other artists. Several members of the band are considered among the best in their fields, with Rose considered one of the best vocalists, Slash as one of the best guitarists and McKagan as one of the best bassists by various publications. The band, specifically Rose, Stradlin, McKagan, Slash, Adler, Sorum and Reed, were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2012. To date, Guns N' Roses has sold more than 100 million records worldwide, including 45 million in the United States, making them one of the best-selling bands in history.

Sins N' Roses bring their tour to Mt. Carroll on September 6, admission to the 7:30 p.m. concert is $35-40, and more information and tickets are available by calling (815)244-2035 and visiting TimberLakePlayhouse.org.
