With the headliner and her bold five-piece band creating impressive, immersive renditions of “Feel the Earth Move," ”Chains," “You’ve Got a Friend," and other beloved songs from the Tapestry album and additional favorites, chanteuse Tina Naponelli brings her stage tribute Tapestry Unraveled: The Music of Carole King to Galesburg's Orpheum Theatre on April 11, the artist's powerful voice and soulful dedication paying homage to the iconic Queen of Pop.

Hailed as one of the most successful and talented female pop artists, Carole King has carved out an iconic place in music history. From her beginnings as the songwriter of such classics as “Will You Love Me Tomorrow” (The Shirelles) and “Take Good Care Of My Baby” (Bobby Vee, 1961), King began her rise to music hall of fame. In 1971, her solo album Tapestry launched her to the top of the charts with hits inclduing “Feel The Earth Move” and “Natural Woman," winning her four Grammy Awards for Best Record, Song and Album of the Year, and Best Pop Vocal Performance -- Female. To date, King has released 25 solo albums, with Tapestry being her most successful, and has sold in excess of 75 million records worldwide. Her added honors include induction into the Songwriters Hall of Fame and two inductions in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame (as a performer and songwriter), the 2013 Library of Congress Gershwin Prize for Popular Song (as its first female recipient), and the 2015 Kennedy Center Honors.

Tapestry Unraveled headliner Tina Naponelli is no stranger to the entertainment industry. She is a proud graduate of North Central College where she studied Theatre Performance. Since graduating, she has created successful cabarets tributed to Sara Bareilles and hits from the kings and queens of the music industry. Naponelli has also gone on to be a part of several theatrical productions, with her recent theatre credits including: Tomorrow Morning (Kokandy Productions), Beehive and Suds: The Rocking 60’s Musical (Williams Street Rep), and It’s a Wonderful Life and Columbinus 2.0 (American Theater Company).
