Under the Streetlamp's Hip to the Holidays! at the TaxSlayer Center -- December 19.

Tuesday, December 19, 7:30 p.m.

TaxSlayer Center, 1201 River Drive, Moline IL

Performing thrilling four-part arrangements of such seasonal favorites as “Run, Run Rudolph,” “Ave Maria,” and “I'll Be Home for Christmas,” the do-wop vocal ensemble Under the Streetlamp visits Moline's TaxSlayer Center with their touring production “Hip to the Holidays!”, which features a collection of tunes from the group's live PBS specials and 2012 album Every Day's a Holiday.

Created both to celebrate beloved hits from the Great American Songbook and to delight fans of Broadway's Four Seasons tribute Jersey Boys, Under the Streetlamp released its self-titled debut album in 2012, and the group was immediately noteworthy for being composed entirely of actor/singers who had appeared in Jersey Boys either on Broadway or in national tours. In addition to that Tony-winning musical revue, the four current members of Under the Streetlamp boast additional stage credits courtesy of other famed musicals: Eric Gutman is a 15-year company member with the touring productions of Forbidden Broadway and Forbidden Hollywood; Christopher Kale is a veteran of Chicago's Steppenwolf Theatre and Chicago Shakespeare Theater; Brandon Wardell's Broadway experience includes Thoroughly Modern Millie, Assassins, and Catch Me If You Can; and Shonn Wiley has enjoyed roles in 42nd Street, The Music Man, and Forever Plaid.

With Under the Streelamp's other albums including 2014's Let the Good Times Roll and 2016's Rockin' Around the Clock – both of which were captured as stage concerts for PBS – the group has brought new life to period pop classics such as “Pretty Woman,” “Since I Don't Have You,” “For Once in My Life,” and “Blue Moon.” The musicians' “Hip to the Holidays!” tour, meanwhile, finds the Under the Streetlamp quartet not only performing traditional holiday anthems such as “Santa Claus Is Back in Town” and “Christmas Time Is Here,” but longstanding holiday classics including “Here We Come a-Wassailing” and “The First Noel.”

Tickets for Under the Streetlamp's “Hip to the Holidays!” concert are $28.50-63.50, and can be reserved by calling (800)745-300 or visiting TaxSlayerCenter.com.
