Rock Island, IL – Saturday, February 3, 2018 marked the 3rd Annual “Soup or Bowls” food drive sponsored by Discounted Furniture in Rock Island. Canned food and other donations were accepted at the Rock Island Hy-Vee located at 2930 18th Avenue, Rock Island. All proceeds benefit Christian Care, homeless men’s shelter in Rock Island and QC Paws, animal care shelter in Moline. All those who donate were entered into a prize drawing.
Christian Care provides safe shelter, nutritious meals, clothing, and case management services to men ages 18 and up who are in need of housing. Call Christian Care at 309/786-5734 to make a donation or to volunteer.
QC Paws services “protect the welfare, health and safety of pets and people and promotes responsible pet ownership”.
