The fifth annual Pioneer Day is Saturday, June 17, 2017, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday.

There is an overnight encampment of fur trader re-enactors, called a Buckskinners' Rendezvous, with pioneer portrayers demonstrating hatchet and knife throwing, and craft demonstrators such as wood-working, chair caning, basket weaving, quilting, rope making, and campfire cooking. Kid’s games and activities also ongoing.

Old time music specialist Wesley Wells will perform.

Food Vendor available will be Dickey’s BBQ with sandwiches, sides, and drinks. Homemade ice cream and popcorn also available.

Tours of the historic Colonel Davenport House included. Admission is $10.00 adults for 12 years and over; $8 for active military and seniors (65 & older); free 11 and under.

The Rock Island Arsenal is an active military installation.  All visitors must enter through the downtown Moline (Illinois) gate.  Visitors who do not have an approved Department of Defense ID card and are 18 years old or older must obtain a visitor pass at the Arsenal Visitor Center.  For more information, visit www.davenporthouse.org.
