MOLINE, ILLINOIS (November 8, 2024) — The AKWAABA QC, an IRS 501(c) Tax Exempt nonprofit Community Organization is pleased to announce that he is having its first-ever fundraising gala to showcase the incredible work that AKWAABA QC is doing as well as highlight its culture as a symbol of reception, hospitality, generosity, and warm welcome to everyone.

AKWAABA QC Fundraising Gala is going to be an unforgettable night filled with fun, dance, choreography, fashion show, comedy, and the demonstration of AKWAABA QC Calabash!

On top of that, we will have Senator Mike Halpin as Guest Speaker and Dr Magdalena (Maggie) Rivera as Keynote Speaker.

The AKWAABA QC’s mission is to welcome immigrants, refugees, migrants, and asylum-seekers in the Quad Cities by providing them with necessary training and information that will help them integrate into the Quad City community and lead them to their full potential. This is done through advocacy, collaboration, and connection with community partners to ensure their successful integration into the community. Our goal is to continue bringing awareness in the community especially to the newcomers.

At AKWAABA QC, we are seeing firsthand the urgent need to provide outreach, education, information, and accompaniment to newcomers, immigrants, refugees, asylum-seekers, and low English proficients, and refer them to appropriate resources if needed.
