MOLINE, ILLINOIS (August 11, 2025) — AKWAABA QC is having its second fundraising gala on November 8, 5-9PM, at Believers Together Community Center in Moline.

The AKWAABA QC, an IRS 501(c) Tax Exempt non-profit community organization, is pleased to announce that he is hosting its second annual fundraising gala to showcase the incredible work that AKWAABA QC is doing as well as highlight its culture as a symbol of reception, hospitality, generosity and warm welcome to everyone. This event aimed at supporting the organization’s mission to welcome and integrate immigrants, refugees, migrants and asylum seekers into the Quad Cities community.

AKWAABA QC FUNDRAISING GALA is going to be an unforgettable night filled with fun, dance, choreography, fashion show by the attendees, comedy, and the demonstration of AKWAABA QC Calabash, which is a sign of hospitality, love, and hope.

The AKWAABA QC’s mission is to welcome immigrants, refugees, migrants, and asylum-seekers in the Quad Cities by providing them with necessary training and information that will help them integrate into the Quad City community and lead them to their full potential. This is done through advocacy, collaboration, and connection with community partners to ensure their successful integration into the community. Our goal is to continue bringing awareness in the community especially to the newcomers.

At AKWAABA QC, we are seeing firsthand the urgent need to provide outreach, education, information, language interpretation, translation, and accompaniment to newcomers, immigrants, refugees, asylum-seekers, and Low English Proficiency, and refer them to appropriate resources if needed.
