RIVERDALE, IOWA (October 19, 2026) — Arconic Davenport Works (4879 State Street, Bettendorf, Iowa, 52722) will present a $5,000 donation to Hog Capitol Wildlife Rescue and Rehab on Wednesday, October 21, 2PM, as part of the company’s recent matching funds campaign.

The presentation will take place near the site of the Davenport Works eagle nest, which fell from its tree earlier this year.

Following the check presentation, longtime eagle enthusiast and Arconic retiree, John Riches, will spread straw among the remaining branches and twigs from the previous nest. Riches says eagles use straw to line their nests and that there is no downside to making the material available as the birds determine whether and where to rebuild.

Eagle and wildlife experts attending the event will also share their observations about the pair and what they will be watching for as the nesting season approaches.

Hog Capitol Wildlife Rescue and Rehab has been a valued partner to Arconic's Eagle Cam program and has played an important role in supporting the welfare of Davenport Works' resident bald eagles, Liberty and Justice. Most recently, the organization provided expertise and guidance following the unexpected collapse of the nest occupied by eaglets Artemis and Apollo earlier this summer.

Since 2009, Arconic's Eagle Cam has allowed millions of viewers to follow the lives of Liberty and Justice from their nest overlooking the Mississippi River. The project has become one of the company's most visible community engagement initiatives and a unique example of the connection between industry and nature.
