On Thursday, September 14, 2017 area Home School Assistance Program students (grades 3-6) will be involved in an enrichment class exploring the I-74 Mississippi River Bridge Project that is presently underway on the east side of the bridge. Students will take a look at how engineers and construction teams create the foundations of the new bridge, and review/learn the engineering concepts that go into designing and making a bridge. During the first half-hour of the class, Head Engineer and I-74 Project Manager, Danielle Mulholland along with Kristina Kuehling of Images Inc., will be discussing the project, directly pinpointing the procedures of construction, building tools & materials that will be utilized through the process, and sharing their overall expertise of engineering and projects of this magnitude.  Students will then create bridge models to take home to remind of the amazing work that is being done right under foot on the Mississippi.

This class is being held in Room 3, on Thursday, September 14th at the Mississippi Bend Area Education Agency from 10-11:30 a.m.
