ROCK FALLS, ILLINOIS (August 18, 2026) — Art lovers, music fans, and families are invited to experience a full day of creativity and entertainment at the Art in the Park Sculpture Walk and Outdoor Art Gallery on Saturday, August 29, 2026, 10AM-4PM, at RB&W District Park, 201 E 2nd Street, Rock Falls.

The annual event will showcase the many forms of art found throughout the park while offering visitors an opportunity to meet artists, listen to live music, enjoy local food and experience a new addition to the event this year — wine-tasting.

Visitors will be among the first to experience eight brand-new sculptures that will be on display at the park for one year alongside the park’s five permanent sculptures. The new works were created by talented artists from Colorado, Indiana, Maryland, Wisconsin, Michigan and Iowa, bringing a fresh collection of artwork to Rock Falls. Those interested in learning more about the sculptures can download the Otocast app, where the artists share the stories and inspiration behind their individual works.

The Outdoor Art Gallery will feature 25 artists from Illinois and Iowa showcasing and selling their original, handcrafted creations. Visitors can browse a wide variety of artwork and handmade items, including yard art, woodworking, jewelry, paintings, pottery, artisan sourdough, and much more. Attendees will also have the opportunity to vote for the “Best of Show” artist. The winning artist will receive a $250 cash prize.

The RB&W District Park Amphitheater will provide live entertainment throughout the day, beginning at 10 a.m. Performers include Tobin Kirk, Eli Traum, Sami Marie, and Jay Vonn.

Food will be available throughout the event from Brito’s Grill, Big Boyz Pizza, T&D BBQ, Kokomos Shaved Ice, and Main Squeeze, giving visitors plenty of options to grab a bite while enjoying the festivities.

New this year, Art in the Park will include a wine-tasting experience featuring Tres Rojas Winery of Washington, Illinois. Guests will be able to sample a variety of wines and will also have the opportunity to purchase bottles to take home.

Liberty Bell Rededication

As part of Rock Falls’ continued celebration of America 250, the Rock Falls Liberty Bell will be officially rededicated during a special ceremony at 11AM on August 29. The Liberty Bell was first donated to the Rock Falls community in September 1976 as part of the nation’s Bicentennial celebration.

Fifty years later, Rock Falls Tourism is honored to rededicate the bell to the people of Rock Falls and to future generations. The rededication ceremony will take place at the Liberty Bell site in RB&W District Park, near the restrooms.

Art in the Park is a wonderful opportunity to showcase the creativity of artists from our region and beyond while inviting people to enjoy everything RB&W District Park has to offer.

With new sculptures, talented artists, live music, food, wine-tasting, and the rededication of our Liberty Bell, there will be something for everyone to enjoy.”

The Art in the Park Sculpture Walk and Outdoor Art Gallery is free and open to the public. For more information about Art in the Park and other upcoming events in Rock Falls, visit VisitRockFalls.com.
