DAVENPORT, IOWA (August 1, 2025) — For the third consecutive year, Downtown Bettendorf will come alive with music, food and public art as part of this year’s Alternating Currents festival, happening August 14–17.

“The Downtown Bettendorf Organization (DBO) is excited to be adding more events in downtown at this year's Alternating Currents festival,” said Ryan Jantzi, Executive Director, DBO. “We have a new outdoor stage at Adventurous Brewing that will host two lunch shows with Floyds on Friday and two more shows on Sunday afternoon. K&K Hardware, Verde and Harley Corin's will also host events this year. Alternating Currents is all about exploring something different in the QC and finding your new favorite spot. Choose your adventure and “take a Bett” on Downtown,” he added.

The musical entertainment kicks off during the lunch hour on Thursday, August 14, inside at K&K Hardware, featuring singer/songwriter Jordan Danielsen and the soulful sounds of Beth Lizano. A food truck pop-up will provide lunch. Thursday evening, Verde continues the vibe with a blues/folk performance from Lojo Russo.

During the lunch hour on Friday, August 15, Adventurous Brewing will host the Floyd’s Burger truck and will show off its new outdoor stage with an acoustic performance by Alexa Mueller and the punk/indie influenced band, Felpup Five.

The weekend wraps up with back-to-back musical performances on Sunday, August 17, on the Adventurous Brewing stage with rock bands, Company Dimes and Cough n' Flop. Capping off the weekend, Harley Corin’s will feature The Memphis Dives, known for their original songs blending rockabilly, classic Fifties outlaw country, and modern rock and blues.

As part of the event’s Mural Fest — a large-scale mural will be created at The Bulldog Arms by muralist, Dominic Laporte beginning the week of August 10.
