DUBUQUE, IOWA (January 23, 2020) — Athletes from around the state will compete in Dubuque this weekend, January 24-26, celebrating the 2020 Winter Iowa Games presented by Grinnell Mutual. Competitions will be held in 10 events at 11 venues throughout the Dubuque community.

More than 2,600 athletes are registered for the Winter Iowa Games. Events scheduled in Dubuque this weekend include: alpine ski-racing, alpine free-ride, youth basketball, youth ice-hockey, indoor soccer, martial arts, pickleball, 5K road-race, youth volleyball, and a Zumba Fitness(r) class.

Athletes still have the opportunity to register on-site for the following events in Dubuque this weekend: alpine ski-racing, alpine free-ride, martial arts, 5K road-race, and the Zumba Fitness(r) class. Visit www.iowagames.org for sport specific details.

Over the course the 2020 Winter Iowa Games competitions will be held in 25 sports with final participation counts surpassing 4,000 athletes.

Iowa City will host a weekend of events at the University of Iowa, February 8-9, including the following sports: adult men's basketball, table tennis, and youth track and field.
