ROCK ISLAND, ILLINOIS (November 21, 2023) — Eight Augustana College geology majors presented earth science concepts on October 11 at Moline Public Library's Fossil Day Program.

Students, with the support of the Augustana's Fryxell Geology Museum and the Geology Department, presented to 150 attendees of the event. Attendees enjoyed fossil discovery and education about creatures and plants from millions of years ago.

Additionally, the department welcomed junior geologists, paleontologists, and archaeologists to enjoy fun excavating activities, fossil crafts, and more.
