ROCK ISLAND, ILLINOIS (May 8, 2024) — Two Augustana College seniors received the Academic Achievement Award sponsored by the Rock Island Rotary Club at their 50th Annual Awards Luncheon on April 23.

Presented by Erin Williams, director of annual giving, the award recognized students as the "top senior scholars" from Augustana College. The Rock Island Rotary Club is made up of nearly 100 members that are committed to making a difference in communities around the world.

The 50th Annual Rotary Awards luncheon honored outstanding area students, community leaders, as well as members of Rock Island Rotary Club.

Recognized students included:

Jalane Maiva Tsague Nguepi, a Business Administration-Management major of Davenport (52806)

Lauren Anderson, a Communication Sciences and Disorders major of Port Byron (61275)

Augustana College is a vibrant, welcoming liberal-arts college located on a 115-acre campus in the Quad Cities (pop 400,000) along the Mississippi River. Augustana, a residential campus, has 100 majors and programs, 160 student organizations, and 28 varsity athletic teams.
