ROCK ISLAND, ILLINOIS (May 20, 2024) — Augustana College senior Jon Hutton, a history major from Moline, Ill. (61265), was nominated to submit a 'More Than I Imagined' profile by Dr Brian Leech, associate professor and chair of history.

Annually, faculty nominate Augustana's seniors who have achieved remarkable academic or personal growth to appear in the college's 'More Than I Imagined' series. Read Hutton's profile at More Than I Imagined.

Dr Leech praised Hutton's attentive thinking and hard work.

"Jon understands the importance of following intellectual passions, while staying grounded in real-world experiences," said Dr Leech. "In his history senior project, he proved to be a careful thinker, a thorough researcher, and a sophisticated writer, with a belief that our history should focus as much on people's successes as on their broken promises."

After graduation, Hutton will attend the University of Iowa College of Law.
