ROCK ISLAND, ILLINOIS (May 20, 2024) — Augustana College senior Kenaya Allen, a political science and Asian studies major from St Louis, Illinois (61201), was nominated to submit a “More Than I Imagined” profile by Dr Elizabeth Lawrence, assistant professor of history.

Annually, faculty nominate Augustana's seniors who have achieved remarkable academic or personal growth to appear in the college's “More Than I Imagined” series. Read Allen's profile at More Than I Imagined.

Dr Lawrence said that Allen's multiple independent research projects, participation in band, study-abroad, and more has prepared her well.

"She brings confidence, energy, and enthusiasm to every class and every task," she said. "I hate to see her leave, but at the same time, I can't wait to see her go far, as I know she will."

After graduation, Allen will prepare to take the Foreign Service Officer Test to become a diplomat and work in a US embassy.
